CCSO: SHOOTING AT CLACKAMAS FRED MEYER UNDER INVESTIGATION

On August 21, 2012, at about 3:40 pm, Clackamas County 911 received a call from inside the Fred Meyer store located at SE Hwy 212 and SE 82nd Dr, Clackamas, reporting that a shooting had occurred.
Deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriffs Office arrived by 3:43 pm, and secured the scene. All people involved in the incident have been identified and there are no outstanding suspects.
Two people were transported to area hospitals. One male had a non-life threatening wound to his leg and the other had an unspecified injury requiring medical attention.
Detectives are interviewing witnesses and other involved parties to piece together the details of the incident.
The details at this time are that there was some sort of argument at the checkout line that quickly turned more violent.
As a clearer picture of the incident unfolds we will provide updates.
The store was evacuated following the incident, and was closed throughout the investigation.
There is no one on custody at this time though detectives anticipate an arrest at some point.
