UPDATE: INJURY CROSSOVER TRAFFIC CRASH - INTERSTATE 5 IN SALEM (PHOTOS)

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Thursday afternoon's injury traffic crash involving two vehicles, one of which crossed the center median, in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 north of Market Street in Salem. The names of both drivers are released in this update.
According to Trooper Scott Show, on July 26, 2012 at approximately 3:25 p.m. a 1997 GMC Jimmy sport utility vehicle driven by MICHAEL S. NOPP, age 22, from Keizer, was northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 257 in the left lane when an unidentified vehicle attempted to move from the center lane to the left lane. NOPP steered left out of his lane and lost control, crossing the raised center median into the southbound lanes and collided nearly head-on in the left southbound lane with a 2011 Toyota 4-Runner driven by AARON B. DORIA, age 25, from Orem, Utah. After impact, the Toyota overturned on its top.
Both drivers and a passenger whose name is not available were transported to Salem Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Safety restraint use not available.
OSP troopers from the Salem Area Command office conducted the investigation and no citations were issued. Anyone with information regarding the unidentified vehicle that reportedly caused the crash is asked to contact OSP Northern Command Center at 800-452-7888.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Salem Fire Department and ODOT.
