SECOND ALOHA BANK ROBBED IN TWO DAYS
Posted: July 11th, 2012 6:20 PM

On July 11, 2012, at 2:02 pm, Washington County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 3435 SW 182nd Avenue. The bank is in Aloha, an area of the Enhanced Sheriff's Patrol District (ESPD). It was reported that a woman entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. The teller complied with the demand and the suspect fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Sheriff's Deputies surrounded the area within a couple of minutes and searched for the suspect and a vehicle that may have been involved. The robbery suspect may have gotten into the vehicle and fled the area.

The bank robber was described as a white female adult, 40-50 years old, with a thin build, 5'4" tall, wearing a baggy gray sweatshirt, and carrying a red purse. The vehicle was described as an older silver Honda Accord. The most unusual identifying feature was the hat she wore, a black ball cap with large white "FBI" lettering on the front.

There are similarities between this robbery and the robbery at the US Bank yesterday which is about eight blocks away. It is not known if the two incidents are related. Fortunately, no one was injured in either of the incidents.

The FBI was contacted and will be assisting with the investigation.

Detectives are seeking the public's help regarding this case. If you have any information, please call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at (503) 846-2500.
