Oregon State Police Criminal Investigation Division is asking for the public's help to locate a Salt Lake City, Utah woman who was reported missing and possibly endangered Monday afternoon by relatives when she failed to arrive last week at her destination on a Greyhound bus from Salt Lake City.
On July 11, 2012, SHERRYL ELAINE BOATMAN, age 63, left Salt Lake City, Utah on a Greyhound bus enroute to Salem, Oregon. Her family last had contact with her Thursday, July 12, at approximately 9:00 a.m. when she called on her cell phone from the Portland area. Her phone was found Friday, July 13, by a citizen about four miles from the bus station at NW Front Avenue and NW Kittridge Avenue.
BOATMAN is described as a white female, 5"5", 145 lbs, with short brown hair and brown eyes. She was believed to be wearing black pants, brown short sleeve shirt, and black shoes. Her family said she takes medication and seemed delusional when they spoke to her on the phone.
Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 or Oregon State Police Northern Command Center dispatch at 800-452-7888.
OSP Detective Chris Schinnerer is the lead investigator.
