American Red Cross - Oregon Region: Volunteers are canteening to provide snacks and beverages to firefighters working in Rieth Canyon near Rieth, Oregon, a town of 200 to 300 people located five miles west of Pendleton, Oregon. Firefighters are building a fire line to save the town. Walmart has donated snacks and beverages. Earlier today, the Red Cross temporarily opened an evacuation center at the Pendleton Convention Center, but it has since been closed.
