UPDATE: SERIOUS INJURY PEDESTRIAN-INVOLVED CRASH - HIGHWAY 99E NEAR CONCORD

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Saturday night's serious injury pedestrian-involved traffic crash on Highway 99E near Concord Avenue south of Milwaukie. The names of the involved driver and injured pedestrian are released in this update.
On June 2, 2012 at approximately 9:30 p.m., RICHARD OLSEN, age 41, from Gresham, was attempting to cross Highway 99E north of Concord Avenue in a non-crosswalk area when he was struck by a 1995 Isuzu Trooper driven by MELISSA BALL, age unavailable, from Milwaukie. The Isuzu was traveling in the right hand northbound lane when it struck OLSEN as he was crossing the highway from the west side to the east.
OLSEN was transported by ambulance to Oregon Health & Sciences University for treatment of serious injuries.
BALL was not injured.
OSP troopers from the Portland Area Command office are continuing the investigation. Trooper Ted Moisan is the lead investigator.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and Clackamas Fire District 1.
