ODOT/Valley, No. Coast: OR 51 (Monmouth-Independence Highway) remains closed in both directions less than two miles north of Independence following a single vehicle crash that took down a power pole and live wires. The utility company has moved the pole and power line off the road. However, law enforcement is conducting an investigation. Motorists should avoid the area, find an alternative route or expect long delays. UPDATE
