MOVIES CHOSEN FOR BEAVERTON'S FLICKS BY THE FOUNTAIN

- Family-friendly movies screened at Beaverton City Park each Friday in August -

The votes are in for this year's Flicks by the Fountain, Beaverton's annual family-friendly, outdoor movie series.

The winning flicks and dates are:

ANIMATED UP (PG, 2009, 96 minutes) Aug. 3
FAMILY The Muppets (PG, 2011, 98 minutes) Aug. 10
CLASSIC/MUSICAL Grease (PG, 1978, 110 minutes) Aug. 17
ADVENTURE The Goonies (PG, 1985, 111 minutes) Aug. 24

Flicks by the Fountain will be held each Friday night in August at Beaverton City Park (5th Street at Hall Boulevard, across from the Beaverton City Library) beginning Aug. 3. All movies are free and begin at dusk.

"Flicks by the Fountain brings our neighbors, families and friends together from across our diverse community," said Mayor Denny Doyle. "Summer's all about getting outdoors and enjoying our vibrant and livable city."
