Posted: June 11th, 2012 2:56 PM

The Beaverton Arts Commission (BAC) is hosting art exhibits throughout June at Beaverton City Hall (4755 SW Griffith Drive), featuring works by talented local artists. The artworks will grace the first, second and third floor corridors.

"This month's art display captures the essence of nature and Northwest summers," said Mayor Denny Doyle. "These incredible photographs and dramatic drawings remind us of how lucky we are to live in this beautiful state."

During the month of June, Mary Braund and Richard Laycock will have their works displayed throughout City Hall in the following locations:

First Floor Lobby and Third Floor Corridor: Mary Braund
Braund is a skilled artist in a variety of media including, watercolor, colored pencil, acrylic, photography and digital manipulation. Braund's work is inspired by nature, which she attributes to her childhood days growing up between the rugged Cascade Range and the northernmost tip of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. His work is featured at Oregon State University and The College of New Jersey, as well as in private collections throughout the world. For more information, visit www.richardlaycockstudio.com.
