Firefighters from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue battled a one alarm house fire near SW 106th and Pueblo in Tualatin this morning. No one was injured but the home suffered significant damage.
Neighbors awoke to popping and crackling noises and discovered the back of the home on fire. At the same time drivers on Tualatin Road, which runs directly behind the home, called 911 reporting large flames and smoke coming from a house.
Firefighters from TVF&R's Tualatin and King City stations arrived minutes later to find thick black smoke and large flames coming from behind the home. A power line feeding the home was also involved. Neighbors told firefighters the occupants of the home were out of town.
Firefighters aggressively attacked the large flames from the exterior of the home and then battled their way inside to search the structure and ensure no one was inside. Firefighters had the fire user control in less than 20 minutes. No one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
