Please reference Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Case #12-17511

On June 11, 2012, at about 4:21 p.m., Clackamas County Sheriffs Office deputies responded to S Mulino Road and SE 13th Avenue, Canby after callers to 911 reported a car crashing into the railroad trestle and the driver being injured.

Deputies identified the injured driver as Alexa Lewis, age 21, of Canby. She was later transported by Lifeflight to OHSU with an unknown level of injuries.

Ms. Lewis' car had crashed into an Oregon Railroad trestle at the intersection after she swerved to avoid rear-ending another car.

An Oregon Railroad representative that came to the scene examined the damage and reported to deputies that the trestle would need to be repaired before it could be used.

Canby Police and the Canby Fire Department also responded to the scene.

S Mulino Road was closed for about two hours while the crash was investigated and the trestle was checked for stability.
