Update June 7, 2012 by Sergeant Bob Ray:
Sheriff's Office Releases Name of Deputy Involved in Shooting
The name of the Washington County Sheriff's Deputy involved in this shooting is Brian
McLeod. He has been with the Sheriff's Office for 12 years.
This case is continuing to be investigated by the Washington County Major Crimes Team
and no further information is available at this time.

Update June 4, 2012 By Sergeant Bob Ray:
Sheriff's Office Releases Name of Deceased Man
The deceased is identified as Robert Kimball Fox, 52, who resided at the SW 180th Avenue
address. Mr. Fox exited the house carrying a loaded high-power rifle. He pointed the rifle
in the direction of the deputies in a threatening manner and was shot once by a
Washington County Sheriff's Deputy.
This case is continuing to be investigated by the Washington County Major Crimes Team
and no further information is available at this time.

Summary of Event
On Sunday afternoon, Washington County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a disturbance at a
residence in Aloha. A 52-year-old man exited his home with a rifle and was subsequently
shot by a deputy.
Full Details
On June 3, 2012, at 3:16 p.m., Washington County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a
disturbance in the 6700 block of 180th Avenue in Aloha. This is located in the Enhanced
Sheriff's Patrol District (ESPD). It was reported there was a man in the residence with a gun.
The investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes
available.

The Washington County Major Crimes Team is lead by the District Attorney's Office and
includes detectives from police agencies within Washington County and the Washington
County Sheriff's Office.
Upon arrival, several deputies encountered a man exiting his house with a rifle. A deputy
shot him once.
The 52-year-old Aloha man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the
scene. Per protocol, the Washington County Major Crimes Team responded to the scene to
investigate the incident.
The name of the deputy involved is not being released at this time. Per standard procedure
in an officer involved shooting, he has been placed on administrative leave.
