LOCAL TORCH RUN TO SUPPORT THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS

On Wednesday morning at 0900 on the steps of the Clark County Courthouse, local Special Olympic athletes, Law Enforcement Officers, and supportive citizens will meet to conduct a local torch run. The group will run from the Courthouse, to the Clark County Sheriff's Office West Precinct located near the Clark County Fairgrounds. The route is approximately 11.7 miles (http://mapq.st/LS45iE).
Clark County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue volunteers are helping with transporting the runners, while Battle Ground and Vancouver Police provide a law enforcement escort.
At West Precinct, families of the athletes have planned a BBQ to celebrate the event.
The Washington Special Olympics 2012 Summer Games will be June 1-3 at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
