Free Summer Movies, Concerts, Playground and Lunch Programs in Portland Parks

Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) is proud to release the schedule for our 2012 Summer Free for All.
PP&R's wildly popular annual series of Movies in the Park, Concerts in the Park, the Washington Park Summer Festival, and Summer Lunches and Playground programs is back! These different elements each have their own schedules, seen in the attached document.
Media and the public are invited to join PP&R for the 2012 Summer Free for All Tip-Off Celebration, in partnership with the Portland Trail Blazers, Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon, and Safeway.
WHAT: Summer Free for All Tip-Off Celebration!
WHEN: Wednesday, June 27, 11:15am-1pm
WHERE: McCoy Park, N. Trenton St. & N. Newman Ave
Notes: Free, healthy lunches from PP&R and our partners, a magic show, Blaze the Trail Cat (Blazers mascot), live music geared towards kids, fun and games, arts and crafts, a Portland fire truck, and much, much more!

It includes dates, times, places and accessibility information for Portland Parks & Recreation's Summer Free For All events!
-Movies in the Park (presented by KeyBank)
Begin Friday, June 29, and run through Saturday, September 8 at various parks all throughout the city.
Pre-movie entertainment begins at 6:30 PM and generally includes performances by local bands. Movies begin at dusk.
-Concerts in the Park
Begin Sunday, July 9 at McCoy Park (N. Fiske, between Trenton & Fessenden) and continue throughout the summer until August 30 at various parks around the city.
Performances begin at 6pm or 6:30pm as noted.

-Summer Playgrounds and Free Lunch Programs (presented by Nike)
Organized sports, games, and crafts - plus a free, healthy lunch for kids up to age18 at designated sites! PP&R's Summer Playgrounds, Playgrounds on Wheels, and Summer Lunch programs begin Monday, June 18 at selected parks throughout the City and continue as late as August 24.
Please see specific dates, locations, and times noted on the attached schedule.
-Washington Park Summer Festival (presented by Daimler)
Performances run from Thursday, August 2 to Sunday, August 12.
All Washington Park Summer Festival concerts begin at 6:00 PM (with the exception of the final evening on Aug 12) in Washington Park's Rose Garden Amphitheater
