LAST WEEK OF TUALATIN'S "IF I WERE MAYOR..." CONTEST

Mayor Lou Ogden, along with the Oregon Mayors Association and Oregon Afterschool for Kids, invite Tualatin students in grades 4-12, including home-schooled students, to participate in the annual "If I Were Mayor..." Contest! Students can share ideas about what afterschool program opportunities they would like to see, and what else they would do as mayor. One winner from each age category will win a $50 cash prize, plus public recognition at the May 14, 2012 City Council meeting. The three winning entries will be submitted to the statewide competition for the opportunity to win a laptop computer! Each category will address the theme "If I Were Mayor, afterschool would be..."
1. Poster (grades 4-5)
2. Essay (grades 6-8)
3. Video or PowerPoint Presentation (High School)
