A Eugene-area woman was arrested Wednesday morning following a two-vehicle non-injury traffic crash on Interstate 5 at the Willamette River bridge.

According to Oregon State Police (OSP) Senior Trooper Gale Cochell, on April 18, 2012 at approximately 8:15 a.m. a Honda Civic driven by HEATHER A. SIMS, age 21, from Eugene, was southbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 193 when it rearended a Ford F-150 pickup driven by an adult male who was accompanied by a 6-year old girl. After impact, the Honda spun around and struck the center concrete barrier.

Subsequent investigation led to SIMS' arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants - Alcohol. She is scheduled to appear at a later date in Lane County Circuit Court.
