MAN ACCUSED OF STALKING RELEASED FROM CUSTODY

On Friday, March 09, 2012, the Washington County District Attorney's Office dismissed the charges against 39-year-old Nicholas Librande. He is the man who was arrested about two weeks ago for attempted kidnapping and stalking. He also has eight additional protective orders against him in several different jurisdictions.
The investigation is continuing, but the District attorney's office and the detectives involved in the case, do not feel that there is enough evidence to prosecute Mr. Librande at this time. We have no doubt that Mr. Librande has engaged in behavior that would alarm most people. We will continue to investigate the case and ask anyone that has any information pertaining to Mr. Librande to please call Detective Dave Anderson at 503-846-2747.
