HITCHHIKER ARRESTED AFTER TROOPER FINDS NEARLY 1/2 LB OF MARIJUANA - INTERSTATE 84 NEAR DODSON

A Florida man was arrested Monday afternoon by an Oregon State Police (OSP) trooper after he was found in possession of approximately 1/2 lb of marijuana while hitchhiking along Interstate 84 west of Cascade Locks.
On March 5, 2012 at approximately 12 noon an OSP trooper working overtime enforcement in a highway construction work zone along Interstate 84 contacted a man hitchhiking near milepost 33. During the contact the trooper discovered the man, identified as JEROD LEANOR WALKER, age 32, from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, was in possession of over 7 ounces of marijuana.
WALKER was arrested and lodged in the Multnomah County Jail for felony Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance - Marijuana.
