Highway 22 about seven miles southeast of Hebo was closed about two hours Wednesday afternoon when a jackknifed commercial truck and unloaded flatbed trailer blocked both lanes of travel. No one was injured in the crash.
According to Oregon State Police (OSP) Trooper Sarah Reding, on February 29, 2012 at approximately 9:45 a.m. a 1992 Freightliner truck driven by THOMAS E. CAWLEY, age 60, from Rockaway Beach, was traveling westbound on Highway 22 near milepost 7 when it lost control and jackknifed, blocking east and westbound lanes. Icy road conditions may have been a factor.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Nestucca Rural Fire Department and ODOT.
