ODOT/Valley, No. Coast: OR 18 (Salmon River Hwy) will remain closed overnight along the Van Duzer Corridor in Polk County. High winds have toppled trees that continue to block the highway between milepost 16 and 17. The winds also make it unsafe for ODOT crews to remove the down and leaning trees. Crews will return tomorrow at 7 a.m. and clear the highway, if conditions improve. OR 18 is closed to through traffic at US 101 on the west and Grand Ronde Road on the east. Motorists are being directed to OR 22 as an alternate route. Local access will be allowed for residents.
