ODOT/Valley, No. Coast - TUE 10:50am
ODOT/Valley, No. Coast: OR 18 (Salmon River Hwy) remains closed through the Van Duzer Corridor in Polk County due to multiple trees that have fallen across the highway. The closure is from US 101 on the west to Grand Ronde Road (milepost 21) on the east. ODOT has crews from three separate maintenance offices on hand. However, gusting winds are creating conditions too unsafe to allow for the removal of the trees across the highway or the trees leaning near the highway. ODOT will reassess conditions at approximately noon. In the meantime, motorists are being detoured onto OR 22 for east and west travel. UPDATE
