FOUR ARRESTED FOR ROBBERY, KIDNAP AND ASSAULT IN GRESHAM

Two adults and two teenagers were arrested on Nov. 18 for Measure 11 charges that include Robbery, Kidnap and Assault. Gresham residents Deshawn Wells, 21; Charles Holmes, 24; and juvenile Haley Fletcher, 17; along with Boring, Ore. resident, juvenile Evan Gibson, 16, were arrested for their involvement in the late night robbery which injured one man and yielded the suspects a small amount of drugs.
Between the late night hours of Nov. 11 and early morning hours of Nov. 12, the four suspects activated their plans to rob two adult men of drugs. The plan included saying they would drive the victims to an out-of-area party, but needed to stop by a southeast Gresham location to deliver some marijuana first. The drug sale was just a ruse, disguising the suspects' true intentions to stop at a secluded location and rob the men of their drugs. Pointing a gun at one victim's head and threatening to shoot him, two of the suspects resorted to striking the man in the head with the gun multiple times before getting what they wanted. The suspects then drove the victims to another location in southeast Gresham before releasing them from the car and fleeing the area.
One victim went to the hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries to his head and neck before being released. The other victim was not physically injured and did not receive medical attention. Due to ongoing safety concerns, the victims' names are not being released at this time.
After serving multiple search warrants, Gresham detectives have located the gun used in the robbery and determine it is a realistic looking, metal airsoft pistol.
