GRESHAM, Ore. - Construction crews have completed the final major phases of the street realignment project at 188th and Burnside in Rockwood. The new street segment, Southeast 187th, between Stark and Burnside will be open and Southeast 188th Avenue, south of Burnside is permanently closed as of Nov. 10.
This realignment creates a smoother north-south connection through the area and improves pedestrian safety on East Burnside and Southeast Stark Streets between 185th and 190th Avenues. Most Rockwood in Motion projects were made possible with urban renewal funding through the Gresham Redevelopment Commission.
