Portlandia is IFC's sketch comedy show where Fred Armisen, Carrie Brownstein, and a healthy (organic, local, fair trade, trans-fat free) assortment of feminist book store owners, militant bike messengers, artists, chefs, musicians, farmers, cult leaders, hiders, seekers, and of course birds -- lots and lots of birds on things -- are all waiting to entertain you (www.IFC.com).
"The Summer Free-For-All is your chance to get outside, play, stretch in the grass, and enjoy quality entertainment", says City Parks Commissioner Nick Fish.
"Thanks to hundreds of sponsors and neighborhood leaders, we're able to offer dozens of free outdoor concerts and movies. In the words of Fred Armisen, 'People run their lives around seeing these movies' - so get there early and stake out your spot!"
New episodes of Portlandia return to IFC in January 2012.
