On Monday August 15th, 2011 at approximately 11:43 pm, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to a report that the play structure at Bilquist Elementary at 15708 SE Webster Rd Milwaukie was on fire.
Sheriff's Deputies arrived and found the play structure to be engulfed in flames and fire spreading through the bark chips underneath.
Two Fire Engines from Clackamas Fire responded and were able to put out the flames before the fire spread to any other structures. The play structure is a total loss.
No immediate cause was discovered but the case is still being investigated.
