A 44-year old Glide-area man was arrested by Oregon State Police (OSP) Monday afternoon following his attempt to elude on a motorcycle southwest of Glide. After his arrest, OSP learned the man was wanted on warrant out of Douglas County.
According to OSP Sergeant Matt Bowersox, on July 4, 2011 at approximately 1:10 p.m. an OSP Fish & Wildlife Division trooper attempted to stop an off-road motorcycle for several traffic violations on Little River Road near Buckhorn Road. The motorcycle's operator failed to stop and attempted to elude the trooper for about two miles, passing several vehicles at high speed before congested traffic ended his attempt to elude. DAVIS was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on the following charges:
* Felony Attempt to Elude on a Vehicle
* Reckless Driving
