POLICE INVESTIGATE REPORTED INTRUSION

Shortly after midnight today, Sherwood police responded to a 911 report that an 18 year old woman, a resident on Aldergrove Street, had been accosted in her home, and tied up. The woman reported that the incident had occurred in the late evening hours and stated she was unable to provide details due to a lapse in consciousness. She called friends for help, who came to her home, and then called police. Police searched the neighborhood with a canine team but did not find a suspect. There is no evidence that a suspect remains in the area. The description of the suspect is unknown.
Police are continuing the investigation to determine if other crimes were committed. The woman was transported to a local hospital. The woman did not sustain any serious physical injury.
