NEXT FANNO CREEK TRAIL-HALL BOULEVARD CROSSING MEETING SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 3
Posted: July 29th, 2011 3:19 PM

Neighbors and other interested citizens are invited to attend a meeting to learn about potential solutions to the Fanno Creek Trail and Hall Boulevard crossing on August 3 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center, room 202 (9985 SW 125th Street).

The intersection of Fanno Creek Trail and Hall Boulevard has been a concern for many years. Currently there is no direct way across the five-lane boulevard, creating a challenge for both trail users and motorists.

A range of crossing option schematics will be presented and discussed at the meeting. The Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) will provide feedback on the features of each option and give the project team direction for further refinement.

A comment period will follow this discussion about the significant gap in connectivity on one of Beaverton's most used and beautiful pedestrian and bicycle trails.

The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District, City of Beaverton and the Oregon Department of Transportation convened the citizen-based SAC to help identify the two most viable and effective improvement options for this crossing. Those options will be forwarded to THPRD and Beaverton for a final determination of the preferred solution.
