DRIVER CITED FOLLOWING INJURY TRAFFIC CRASH - HIGHWAY 126E NEAR WALTERVILLE (PHOTO)

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into a single vehicle traffic crash that left three people injured early Monday morning on Highway 126E near Walterville.
According to OSP Trooper Michael Pelkey, on July 11, 2011 at approximately 1:20 a.m. a Toyota Corolla operated by MARY WULLSCHLEGER, age 42, from Springfield, was westbound on Highway 126E near milepost 12 when WULLSCHLEGER fell asleep. The Toyota Corolla traveled off the road and over an embankment, where it rolled and struck a tree.
WULLSCHLEGER and her two passengers, CONNIE ACORD, age 53, and a 4 year-old male, were transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend with non life-threatening injuries. WULLSCHLEGER and ACORD were wearing safety restraints and the boy was in child safety restraints.
WULLSCHLEGER was subsequently cited and released for Reckless Driving, Recklessly Endangering (two counts) and No Oregon Drivers License.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Springfield Fire & Life Safety, McKenzie Fire Department, Springfield Police Department and ODOT. The highway was closed for approximately 45 minutes during the investigation.
