On Thursday, July 7, 2011 the Vancouver Police Activities League will unveil a new Vancouver Police Activities League (PAL) van which was generously donated by Dick Hannah Dealerships. Vancouver Police Chief Clifford Cook will be officially accepting the van on behalf of the Vancouver Police Activities League. (Members of the media are invited to join us for this community unveiling. There will be some great visuals with the van, PAL youth participants as well as interview opportunities with President Dick Hannah and other Dick Hannah Dealerships representatives, Chief Cook, members of the Vancouver Police Department who volunteer and coach for PAL, PAL board members and PAL youth).

Date: Thursday, July 7, 2011
Time: 11:30 a.m.
Location: Fisticuff's Gym (5107 NE 94th Avenue, Vancouver WA)

The 8 passenger van was donated by Dick Hannah Dealerships and included a full vehicle wrap featuring real PAL youth and Vancouver Police Officers. The van is a moving billboard for PAL and provides PAL permanent access to a vehicle which can safely transport youth to events as well as equipment needed for the various activities Vancouver PAL hosts. Vancouver PAL has no permanent location or community center where activities are held, so being able to transport equipment, supplies and youth to various locations is necessary for the ongoing success of PAL programs. The van also allows Vancouver PAL to coordinate field trips for youth on a more regular basis. This donation comes at a great time when PAL's summer programs are in full swing.

"Dick Hannah Dealerships proudly supports the work of the Vancouver Police Activities League and we appreciate the opportunity to donate this van to help local youth experience the many PAL programs of sports, literacy, nature and more", said Dick Hannah, president of Dick Hannah Dealerships www.dickhannah.com.
