On Saturday, July 23, 2011, at 8:50 p.m. the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office received 911 calls reporting an injured man on the ground in the eastbound lanes of SW Wilsonville Road west of SW Boones Ferry Road, near the railroad tracks. This location is near the Key Bank and Albertson's supermarket in Wilsonville, Oregon.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue and Wilsonville Police responded to the scene. The 17-year-old male was transported to Oregon Health Science University Hospital with a severe head injury. The subject suffered a fractured skull, with internal brain injury, and numerous scrapes on his legs and arms.

None of the 911 callers witnessed the event that caused the injury.

The juvenile male does not recall how he was injured or what happened to him.

No witnesses have yet come forward with information.

The investigation has revealed the juvenile male was with a friend, Omar Espina Lopez, just prior to the incident. Mr. Espina Lopez and the juvenile had been involved in a non-injury traffic accident about two miles away and 45 minutes before the juvenile male was discovered in the roadway.

This accident was not the cause of the juvenile male's injuries. It has been confirmed the 17-year-old male left that accident scene un-injured and was then found two miles away, 45 minutes later in SW Wilsonville Road.

His friend, Mr. Espina Lopez was driving a 1998 gold colored Toyota pickup bearing Oregon plates ZMK 700 at the time of the earlier accident.

The listed Toyota has already been recovered and examined by Wilsonville Police Detective Jeff Green.

The cause of the 17-year-old males injuries are still unknown.
