THE CANBY POLICE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATE STABBING INCIDENT

On July 4th, 2011, at approximately 11:15P.M., members of the Canby Police Department responded to a disturbance in the area of South Pine Street and Township Road. Arriving police officers located a male subject who was stabbed during the disturbance. The subject received serious injuries requiring him to be transported to a metro area hospital for medical treatment. While this incident is under investigation, it was learned the disturbance and related stabbing is possibly the result of the interaction of rival gangs.
