Police Identify Deceased Man Found In Marsh

POLICE IDENTIFY DECEASED MAN FOUND IN MARSH

On February 15, 2011, Vancouver Police were called to the wetlands area on the south side of SR500, east of Andresen Road, to a report that a body had been located in the water. The deceased remains of an adult male subject were located at the location and an investigation commenced as to the identity of the individual and the cause of death.

Detectives from the Major Crime Unit have identified the deceased subject as Ronald A Doyle, 26 years old, of Vancouver. He was identified after genetic testing was conducted by the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab on biological samples taken from the deceased, personal items known to belong to Mr. Doyle, and comparison samples taken from relatives. Mr. Doyle had been reported as a missing person on 12-22-2010.

The cause of death is accidental, and the investigation is closed at this time.
