CANBY POLICE INVESTIGATE AUTO/PEDESTRIAN INCIDENT

At about 5:25pm, Officers from the Canby Police Department were called to the intersection of Hwy 99E and N. Grant Street on the report of pedestrian that was struck by an automobile.
Arriving Officers found that 15 year old Brandon Saddler of Canby had been struck by a 2002 Dodge Truck that was towing a travel trailer. It appeared that Saddler had actually been struck by the travel trailer portion of the vehicle.
A Doctor that witnessed the crash immediately began to perform life saving measures on Saddler. Canby Fire arrived a short time later and Saddler was Life Flighted to Legacy Emmanuel Hospital in Portland, where he is listed in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle is 66 year old Michael Muessig of Milwaukie. Muessig is being cooperative with investigators. At this time no citations have been issued due to the on going investigation.
