ARREST WARRANT ISSUED FOR THE MURDER OF 11-YEAR OLD GIRL

An arrest warrant has been issued for 38-year Kristina Buckley of Sherwood, alleging she caused the strangulation death of her eleven (11) year old daughter, Cecilia Buckley.
Officers from the City of Sherwood Police along with crews from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue were called to the 17600 block of SW Galewood Dr. in Sherwood at about 4:45 pm on Thursday June 2 on a report of an injured child. Inside the home, first responders located the victim who was quickly transported to a local area hospital where she was pronounced dead. The mother of the victim was also transported to a local area hospital for self-inflicted wounds, where she currently remains.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Washington County Major Crimes Team and additional investigative information is being with-held at this time, to maintain the integrity of the criminal investigation.
