Posted: November 19th, 2010 9:42 AM

The Fairview Police Department has been investigating a number of burglaries at storage units in Fairview.

During the early morning hours of November 15, 2010, Fairview Police with the assistance of Multnomah County Sheriff's Deputies and a Portland Police Bureau K-9 Officer apprehended Troy Mahoney, leaving a storage unit facility, which had just been burglarized. Subsequent surveillance and investigation, by Fairview Police, indicated Mahoney may have been responsible for additional storage unit burglaries. On November 17, 2010, Fairview Police obtained search warrants and executed them on Mahoney's garage and a storage unit, rented by the suspect, located at the same facility as the burglaries. Fairview Police discovered and seized thousands of dollars worth of suspected stolen articles, including camping equipment, electronics, and collectibles.

Mr. Mahoney has been convicted of previous felony property crimes and was booked into MCDC.

Detective Robertson is the lead investigator and is seeking assistance in locating victims that may be able to identify and recover their stolen property. If you have any information related to this investigation, please contact Detective Robertson at (503)-674-6259.
