BICYCLIST STRUCK BY SOUTHBOUND TRAIN IN MILWAUKIE

On 09-20-10 at about 9:24 p.m. callers to 911 reported a bicyclist being struck by a southbound AMTRAK train at SE Oak Street in Milwaukie. Police officers arriving on scene ran down the tracks to determine if medical aid could be rendered; unfortunately the person was found deceased.
Police are still interviewing witnesses who saw the incident happen. The deceased is a male adult. The investigation is continuing.
