FATAL TRAFFIC CRASH - HIGHWAY 211 WEST OF MOLALLA

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers from the Portland Area Command office are continuing the investigation into Saturday night's two vehicle fatal traffic crash that killed one person and injured another west of Molalla on Highway 211.
According to OSP Trooper Ryan Tellier, on July 31, 2010 at approximately 7:52 p.m. a 1994 BMW two-door driven by JUSTIN A. RECK, age 24, from Molalla, was westbound on Highway 211 near milepost 8 when it crossed the centerline and crashed head-on with a westbound 1996 Dodge Caravan. Both vehicles came to rest off the highway.
RECK, whose license is suspended, was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was using safety restraints and his car's airbag deployed.
The Dodge Caravan's driver, JEANIE PAULINE BURGHARDT, age 64, from Molalla, was transported by LifeFlight to Legacy Emanuel Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. She was using safety restraints and her van's airbag deployed.
OSP troopers are continuing the investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
Monitor Fire Department, Clackamas County Medical Examiner, and ODOT assisted at the scene. The highway was closed 3 hours at the scene.
