On 02-11-10 at about 2:30 p.m. a Clackamas County Civil Deputy requested assistance from Milwaukie Police related to a home visit in the 11000 block of SE 54th Place, Milwaukie, Oregon.
Police identified suspicious items inside the residence that required further evaluation by explosives experts. The Portland Police EDU (Explosives Disposal Unit) was dispatched to assist in the investigation.
The Clackamas County Fire Department staged in the area and was on stand-by.
As a precaution, residents (approximately 10 homes) were evacuated, and streets in the area were closed to vehicular traffic.
Portland EDU tested a number of items found inside the home. The investigation of the suspicious items is continuing.
Two adult males inside the residence were arrested for probation violations. These arrests were not related to the suspicious items currently being investigated by Portland EDU.
20-year-old Geoffrey Williamson was arrested for a probation violation. His probation is for ID Theft.
28-year-old Ryan Casey Williamson was arrested for a probation violation. His probation is for Escape II.
Police cleared the scene around 6:30 p.m., at that time opening streets and allowing residents to return to their homes. PPB EDU is continuing its investigation of the suspicious items found inside the house.
