SWAT RESCUES WOMAN IN CRISIS

On 03/12/10 at approximately 1:30 pm, deputies from the Clark County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to 305 NW 102nd Street in Hazel Dell on a suicidal female. Upon arrival of the residence the female's husband told deputies his wife had taken several pills in an attempt to kill herself and had made comments that she would shoot the police if they arrived at the residence. The female continued to make threats of harming herself and others if entry was made into the residence. SWAT was called to the scene and a short time later entered the building. Team members were able to use the Taser to rescue the female. She was then transported to the hospital for medical treatment and a mental evaluation.
