Oregon State Police: A male bicyclist found lying in the roadway on Highway 224 at milepost 24 east of Estacada is being transported by LifeFlight to Legacy Emanuel Hospital. Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers on scene advise that after 9:00 p.m. a motorist found the unconscious male lying on the road next to his bicyclce. There is no evidence or information at this time indicating he was struck by a vehicle. Highway 224 was closed and should be re-opened by 11:00 p.m.
The lead investigating trooper is continuing the investigation but has not been able to interview the male to learn more about what happened prior to when he was found in the roadway.
No more information will be released tonight.
