CRITICAL INJURY TRAFFIC CRASH - HIGHWAY 99E IN HUBBARD AREA (PHOTOS)

An elderly Hubbard-area woman was critically injured Friday morning when her vehicle was struck as she tried to turn onto Highway 99E from her residential street in the Hubbard area.
According to Oregon State Police (OSP) Trooper Jim Andrews, on March 19, 2010 at approximately 7:47 a.m. a 1998 Chevrolet S10 Blazer driven by ETHEL R. RULISON, age 88, from Hubbard, was attempting to turn onto Highway 99E from Schmidt Lane NE when it was struck in the driver's side by a southbound 1973 Ford F350 pickup driven by PATRICK E. NEAL, age 43, from Hubbard.
RULISON was critically injured and transported by LifeFlight to Legacy Emanuel Hospital. She was using safety restraints.
NEAL was using a safety restraint and wasn't injured.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Aurora Police Department and Hubbard Fire Department. The highway was closed about 90 minutes.
