VANCOUVER POLICE PURSUIT

Members of the Vancouver Police Department were involved in a pursuit with 35 year old Jeremy Cabe Macy today at approximately 1045 hours. This incident started when VPD Officers attempted to stop Macy and arrest him on Domestic Violence charges from the night before. During the traffic stop, Macy put his truck in reverse and rammed a Vancouver Police Corporal's marked police vehicle with the corporal still inside. Macy reversed with enough force to hit the police vehicle and then drive up on hood. Macy was taken into custody when he drove home to the 2700 block of NE 151st Avenue. No members of the general public were injured during the incident. Macy and the VPD Corporal were taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries. The Corporal was treated and released and Macy was later booked into jail for Assault 1, Attempt to Elude, DV Felony Harassment and DV Assault IV charges.
