July 31, 2014--Washington County Sheriff's Detectives are searching for a third person that reportedly fired several shots in a residential area of Cornelius this morning.

On July 31, 2014, at about 11:40 a.m., Sheriff's Deputies serving the city of Cornelius, were called to an apartment complex in the 900 block of North Davis in Cornelius, concerning a shooting. Several citizens called to report hearing multiple gunshots and two men were seen running westbound from the apartments.

Multiple Sheriff's Deputies assisted by the Forest Grove Police Department and a Beaverton Police K9 responded to the area to search for the suspect and any potential victims. Detectives with the Washington County Violent Crimes Unit responded to assist with the investigation.

The two men that were seen running were located six blocks away in the Walmart shopping center parking lot. It is unclear to investigators what the two men's involvement was in the shooting. One of the men was arrested on a pre-existing warrant and the other was released after questioning.

Sheriff's Deputies believe there is a third subject that has not been located. He is wanted for questioning as to his involvement in the incident. There were no injuries or property damage found. There was evidence located to confirm there was a shooting. The shooting does not appear to be random and it is believed all three subjects involved were known to each other.

Detectives are seeking the public's help regarding this case. If you have any information, please call the Washington County Sheriff's Office or the Cornelius Police Department at (503) 629-0111.
