VANCOUVER POLICE ACTIVITIES LEAGUE LITERACY EVENT

On March 5, 20013 the Vancouver Police Activities League (PAL) will be hosting a literacy event at Fircrest Elementary School (12001 NE 9th Street) from 11:30a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The Vancouver PAL literacy program visits one elementary school in either the Vancouver or the Evergreen school district each month to give out free books, read with the kids and introduce them to police officers in a positive situation. This year Vancouver PAL is focusing on second grade readers. Vancouver PAL is also well on the way to reaching a goal of distributing 1000 free books to second graders during the school year.
Members of the media are always invited to attend these events which promise to have great visuals and plenty of audio! Please check in at the school office upon arrival.
