OREGON CITY POLICE ARREST BANK ROBBER
Posted: March 12th, 2013 2:34 PM
Today, at 11:39 am, the Bank of the West at 1301 Molalla Avenue, reported being robbed. A male suspect had robbed a teller and fled with an amount of cash.
Officers arrived within a minute, as this is blocks from the PD. A canine was used to search the area and the suspect's jacket was found; with his Clackamas County inmate ID inside.
About this time, police noticed a cab show up in the area. Officers spoke with the cab driver and watched for the man who called the cab. David M. Literal (dob: 9-12-80) showed up and was detained. He had a substantial amount of cash on him. Police arrested him for the robbery.
I am doing this release on my phone as I am at a conference. For questions or an interview, call Officer Dan Shockley at 503-793-6690. He was the canine officer who found the jacket.
