CORRECTION: RED CROSS OPENS SHELTER TO HELP PEOPLE AFFECTED BY LINCOLN CITY STANDOFF INCIDENT

Members of the Oregon Red Cross are assisting individuals affected by the standoff situation in Lincoln City, Org. The Red Cross opened a shelter at the Oregon Coast Community College at 3788 SE High School Drive in Lincoln City. Red Cross staff and volunteers will provide snacks, beverages and mental health services to those displaced by the incident (estimated to have affected 10-12 motel rooms and six houses). In addition to providing assistance to those displaced, the Red Cross is providing food to the first responders on the scene.
At the time of this release, the standoff situation is taking place at the Westshore Oceanfront Motel at 3127 SW Anchor Ave. in Lincoln City, Ore.
