CRITICAL INJURY PEDESTRIAN-INVOLVED CRASH - HIGHWAY 224 AT 82ND DRIVE IN CLACKAMAS

Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into Friday morning's serious injury pedestrian-involved crash at the intersection of Highway 224 and 82nd Drive in Clackamas.

On March 2, 2012 at approximately 11:26 a.m. an 82-year old woman from Clackamas was crossing Highway 224 southbound in a crosswalk from the northwest corner to the southwest corner. The elderly woman was struck by a 1996 Dodge Stratus four-door making a right turn from 82nd Drive to Highway 224.

The injured pedestrian was transported by AMR ambulance to Oregon Health & Sciences University. She is listed in critical condition. Her name is withheld pending confirmation that family have been notified.

The car's driver, PAULA J. BERGERON, age 45, from Clackamas, was not injured.

OSP was assisted at the scene by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and Clackamas Fire District #1.
