Inspectors from the Oregon State Police (OSP) Office of Professional Standards arrested a department employee Thursday evening on allegations related to an ongoing criminal telephonic harassment investigation. The employee, a two-year trooper, voluntarily resigned after being interviewed by the Inspectors.
On March 3, 2011 at approximately 8:00 p.m., NAYMON FRANK, age 26, was arrested by OSP inspectors and transported to the Washington County Jail on one count of misdemeanor telephonic harassment. After booking, he was released pending a future court appearance. The ongoing investigation involves alleged phone, email and text messages sent to an adult female. The complaint was received by OSP on March 2nd and Inspectors immediately began the investigation.
Hired January 2009 as a recruit trooper, FRANK was assigned at the Portland Area Command office until his arrest and subsequent resignation.
No additional information will be released at this time without authorization by the Washington County District Attorney's Office.
Telephonic harassment is a Class B misdemeanor which is punishable by up to 6 months in jail and/or a fine up to $2500.
