VANCOUVER POLICE INVESTIGATE BANK ROBBERY

On January 25, 2011 at approximately 5:57 p.m. Vancouver Police responded to a robbery call at the Wells Fargo Bank branch inside the Safeway Store located at 6701 E Mill Plain Blvd. Witnesses reported that a male suspect entered the bank displayed a demand note to a teller and robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect left the bank on foot in an unknown direction. He was described as a white male in his 40's with a mustache, wearing blue jeans, a dark "hoodie" sweatshirt and white running shoes. No vehicle was seen or heard.
Officers responding to the area established a containment area and a K-9 search for the suspect met with negative results. No further information is available at this time as this investigation is ongoing.
